Windows Phone users have been complaining for a year about the quality of the WhatsApp Messenger application on their devices, which is extremely power hungry.

Lots of people have experienced issues with WhatsApp for Windows Phone, including problems like not receiving messages or not being notified about them.

However, another problem that WhatsApp users have is the limited functionality of the application which doesn't allow users to send large sized videos through the application.

That's why Virgil Wilsterman launched a Windows Phone application specifically for that thing. In order to send larger than 16MB videos, WhatsApp users will have to download an application called Video Optimizer for WhatsApp.

Since its release, the application received many updates that added quite a lot of new features and improvements. The latest update brings more options and tweaks, which are meant to enhance user experience even further.

Covert YouTube videos to music library

The most important change included in the latest update for Video Optimizer for WhatsApp is the option to download and optimize YouTube videos.

In addition, the application has been localized in Dutch and Portuguese languages. Last but not least, there's a new option that allows users to convert YouTube to music library. Moreover, users will be able to select single or multiple videos to convert.

Unfortunately, this might be a bit of a problem since converting YouTube videos into AAC files might violate copyright laws in most of the cases.

Anyway, it remains to be seen whether or not the application will keep this feature in the future because Google will probably take notice of it soon enough.

If you don't have the application installed yet, you can now download WhatsApp Video Optimizer for Windows Phone for $0.99 via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1.
