There was a lot going on last week at Nokia World 2013 and the team behind the popular WhatsApp Messenger application was an important piece of the puzzle.

Nokia promised fans that it would bring the application on Asha handsets, but that more improvements for the Windows Phone version would be released as well.

Well, it appears that developers have been hard at work and managed to deliver the first important update for WhatsApp Messenger for Windows Phone. Here is the changelog:

- Voice Messaging improvements; - Pin chats to start; - New settings: orientation lock (WP7), text size; - Better message forwarding options; - Various enhancements and bug fixes; - New languages: Croatian, Hungarian, Lithuanian.

You can now download WhatsApp Messenger 2.11.276.0 for Windows Phone for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up.
