Added support for Dynamic Type (variable font sizes)

Facebook-owned WhatsApp Messenger remains one of the most popular IM clients on the iPhone, despite several caveats. Constantly updated with tweaks and fixes, WhatsApp recently got a couple of new features that users will be delighted to employ.

WhatsApp continues to be a free download on iOS platforms, but only for the first year. Once that limit has been reached, you need to cough up $0.99 / €0.99 to continue to use it. We’ve never dealt with this because, when we downloaded our own copies of WhatsApp, the app was already a paid commodity. In other words, the developers already got our money.

But we’re not here to talk about that. What we’re here to discuss is the new WhatsApp 2.11.15 for iPhone, which now supports Apple’s Dynamic Type feature for variable font sizes, and adds a quick camera button in chats so you can choose a recent camera roll photo more easily.

WhatsApp is listed as an iOS 4.3 app on iTunes, something we can no longer verify since all our devices have gone way past the point of no return. It’s reasonable to assume that it still works on low firmwares, but not with all the latest features. Download WhatsApp for iOS now and start tweaking those fonts today.
