WhatsApp Messenger users will be pleased to know that developers of one of the most popular instant messaging apps for Android devices have just released a new version.

Those who already received the update via Google Play Store a few days ago should know that their version of WhatsApp Messenger is already old, but at least it’s the last stable iteration.

Developers have just released version 2.11.149, which is only available for download via third-party websites, so Android users won’t be notified of the update.

Unfortunately, there’s no changelog for this iteration, which means that it only brings bug fixes and small improvements. It may also add new features that are in beta testing, but we can’t confirm that.

You can now download WhatsApp Messenger for Android 2.11.149 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
