14 DAY TRIAL // WhatsApp has finally delivered the long-awaited Voice Calling features to all Android users and is likely to do the same in the next couple of weeks for iOS.
BlackBerry users have received the new feature along with Android fans, which is a bit strange considering this particular operating system has a very low market share worldwide, even lower than Windows Phone.
Even though that's a bit strange, it's not unusual for Windows Phone apps to receive new features weeks or months after they are made available to Android and iOS users.
It's also not unusual for developers to launch their apps on Android and iOS first and then, if they consider it's worth their time and money, on Windows Phone platform.
If you've been wondering if WhatsApp Messenger for Windows Phone will ever receive the Voice Calling feature just like the Android and BlackBerry version recently did, then you will be pleased to know that developers are already working on it.
No ETA has been given for the release of the new feature
The folks over at WMPoweruser have recently inquired about the availability of the Voice Calling feature on Windows Phone platform and they've got an answer.
“WhatsApp Calling for your platform is still in the works. Unfortunately, we cannot comment on any future release timelines but we appreciate your interest in WhatsApp Calling.”
So, there you have it folks, WhatsApp developers are already working to bring Voice Calling feature to Windows Phone as well, but no ETA has been given yet.
We know WhatsApp has been testing Voice Calling on its beta apps for quite some time, but these things take time so the only thing we can do is just wait for the new feature to be rolled out to Windows Phone devices.
