14 DAY TRIAL // Owners of Windows Phone devices should soon get a taste of some appealing new features in WhatsApp, as newly spotted beta flavors of the application show.
Detailed over at PocketPC.ch, beta versions 2.9.6 and 2.9.7 of the application show that there will be new smileys coming to Windows Phone users, along with performance improvements, making the software start much faster than before.
Additionally, the application is set to deceive a bigger Live Tile for Windows Phone 7.8, while also packing various bug fixes inside.
Apparently, the team behind the app plans on making these enhancements available for purchase in the next major release of WhatsApp, which will arrive on devices as version 3.0, WPCentral notes.
