Tomorrow is Patch Tuesday, the moment when Microsoft will release new updates for its products in order to fix reported vulnerabilities that could often allow attackers take control of a vulnerable system.

The Redmond-based software giant will patch a total of 57 vulnerabilities, while the release will come with no more, no less than 12 security fixes.

Internet Explorer is one of the applications that will receive critical updates, as every version of the browser, including those running on Windows 8 and RT, comes with a major vulnerability that would enable cybercriminals to access users’ data once a compromised website is loaded.

Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows RT will receive important updates too, with Microsoft’s latest operating system to get a total of four fixes, while its predecessor will only be patched with five bulletins.

Microsoft will also release Office patches, as Exchange Server email software is reportedly affected by a critical bug too.
