Windows insiders are expected to receive a new technical preview build of Windows 10 sometime this week, but neither Microsoft nor leakers have provided any accurate details on the exact version number of this release.

And yet, leaked screenshots of Windows 10 build 10014 reached the web a few hours ago, revealing that Microsoft had indeed compiled a new version of the upcoming operating system and could release it to users in the coming days.

Thank to Russian leaker WZor, we now have more details about this particular build, which has already been shipped to partners ahead of a possible public debut for all users.

Leaked documentation shows that only little has changed in Windows 10 build 10014, including some File Explorer features that allow the file manager to work with OneDrive content more easily.

“In File Explorer, if you configure OneDrive as the default save location, the Documents and Pictures folders in Quick Access will point to the equivalent OneDrive verison of those folders,” the documentation reads.

Plenty of bugs

While most of the changes have been made under the hood, there's also a list of known bugs which have already been discovered internally.

For example, in Windows 10 build 10014, the Chinese Simplified keyboards do not work on touch-capable devices, while Cortana's reminder functionality has some issues that make a reminder appear in the Internet browsing history.

Quiet Hours in Cortana also fails to work properly and Microsoft says that a workaround has also been found for those who really want to use this feature. “To use quiet hours, you'll need to make sure Cortana is turned on, Battery Saver isn't conserving power at the moment, and Driving Mode isn't active,” the company says in the official documentation.

Right now, it's not yet clear if build 10014 is the one to be released to users later this week, but expect the next version to be part of the 100xx version branch.
