Mobbing is rampant and is steadily increasing.
But only half of the harassed employees will suffer psychological or physical sequels, like depression, ulcer, skin problems, insomnia, post-traumatic stress.
That's exactly what happens to the victims of a war, catastrophe or assault. The most affected persons by mobbing are those from the public administration, health, educational system, communication companies or hotel industry.
The harassment has a concealed motivation: covering the professional mediocrity and eliminating a competitor, forcing his/her dismissal or keeping him/her in a low profile. Many victims leave the often extremely
well-paid job.
The harasser has a tremendous shallow capacity of delight. He/she's a compulsive liar and an expert in human weaknesses, having no compassion or remorse.
Mobbing is the perfect crime: destroys a person without leaving the traces of the perpetrator. The victims of the mobbing use to be brilliant persons, which generate envy or jealousy due to their happy family situation.
Most of them are women.
The mobbing turns the victims into emotional clock bombs.
Sometimes, mobbing can be towards the boss (ascendant mobbing), horizontal (between two employees) or collective, of a group of employees against a colleague.
If you have passed - during the last six months - through one or more of the following situations at least once a week, you're the victim of the mobbing:
_ My superior does not want to speak or meet me
_They don't mind you, they fake not noticing you or they do not respond to your greeting
_ They yell at you
_They cut you short
_ They forbid your colleagues to speak to you, trying to isolate you
_ They invent rumors and calumnies about you
_ They disregard your work
_ The accuse you without justification about errors and lack of activity
_ You receive critics and reproaches for everything you do
_ You are menaced with disciplinary reports, contract cancellation, no renewal, dismissal, forced transfer and other punishments
_ They intent to demoralize you
_ They control your work in a malicious way
_ They do not let you do any task, not even at own initiative, and after that they accuse you of doing nothing or being lazy
_ They assign you non-stop tasks or activities which are under your professional skills
_ They distort wittingly what you say
_ They annoy you to make you burst
_ They mock your gait, speech, they put you nicknames
_ They threat you verbally
_ They jiggle you
_ They launch you direct or indirect sexual insinuations
