Apple may fix some of the issues with an iOS 8.0.1 update

iOS 8 has been out for a week today and most users are pretty happy with what it brings. However, the usual lag and some annoying bugs make it a sure candidate for a sooner than expected update.

And according to sources cited by MacRumors, the iOS 8 will not get an update soon. The cited sources even have a detailed list of features and fixes Apple will introduce. For example, iOS 8.0.1 could be addressing a bug related to the call forwarding settings and freezing problem when accessing visual voice mail.

Another possible problem that has been signaled by users and developers is with the keyboard. For example, the keyboard currently has a keypad that does not appear to enter iCloud Keychain verification codes. Safari has an issue with some videos not playing and the Sharing control center menu does not include AirDrop support for Passbook.

Apple may wait with an update until the new OS X Yosemite comes out. Unfortunately, this is about a month away so users hope they will get the small things faster.

Interestingly enough, iOS 8 has the same build as the Golden master version. Usually Apple updates the software right before it's out, but this time, the real iOS 8 may be the one coming in the next weeks. Did you notice any unusual behaviors in iOS 8.0?
