Even BlackBerry folks prefer Apple's iPhone

BlackBerry has been trying to convince iPhone users to abandon their trusted handsets and take up one of the company’s super-secure smartphones, since like forever.

BlackBerry’s dedication to its brand might have us believe that no one in the company even comes close to an iOS device. But the reality of things is much more different than one would expect.

Oops, BlackBerry used an iPhone to tweet

It turns out BlackBerry people are not purists, nor are they immune to the charms of a sleek iOS device like the iPhone.

And the story we’re about to share with you in what follows proves exactly this point. This week BlackBerry posted a tweet on the social network. Nothing out of the ordinary here, most companies tend to keep in touch with their fan base by virtue of social media.

The tweet was meant to promote one of BlackBerry’s recent handset, the Classic, but what really drew attention to this particular message was the fact it got sent out from an iPhone.

In the Tweet BlackBerry suggests that the Classic is perfect for keeping up with conversations seemingly, but ironically the person in charge of posting chose to use an iPhone instead.

So that makes us wonder why the people at BlackBerry would prefer using an iPhone rather than the QWERTY keyboard on the Classic, when it comes to writing messages.

BlackBerry quickly recognized the flop, so it pulled the tweet down. However, the folks over at The Verge managed to capture a screenshot before everything got covered up.

The BlackBerry Classic launched a month ago, as an attempt to rekindle loyalists’ interest in the platform.

The device takes advantage of a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and is powered by a pretty outdated dual-core Qualcomm processor fitted with 2GB of RAM. It runs BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS out of the box.
