Tomorrow, October 12, Apple will announce something, perhaps a new technological breakthrough which will rock once again the world of digital entertainment.
Could it be the new video iPod video? Or perhaps a new 80GB iPod? Or new models of PowerBook and PowerMac?
The hypothesizes are coming from all direction and each version has its partisans, who are convinced
that they hold the truth on what Apple is concocting. The level of enthusiasm is lower compared to the last month event, when Apple, together with Motorola, announced the Rokr phone.
The effects of the iPod nano problems are still visible, although Apple tried and even succeeded to calm everybody down by saying that the number of complaints is small.
Will Apple succeed to dazzle again? Most likely not! So far, the Cupertino company has had an excellent year, and it has been in the spotlight numerous times with events like the launching of the new Mac OS X, the migration to Intel, the inclusion of podcasts into iTunes and the launching of the iPod nano.
After such a busy year, it's unlikely that Jobs will be able to surprise the audience one more time.
Anyway, the mystery will be revealed tomorrow and the fans of the video iPod will find out if their prayers have come true.
