I'm sitting here looking at this photo of Pink and I really can't believe what I'm seeing. I mean, really, I'm having a major case of deja-vu here. I keep repeating to myself "this is a multi-million dollar singer, this is one of the world's top pop performers" and yet all I manage to see is someone who looks just like my middle-age primary school teacher on her way home after attending her grandma's funeral. I'm not sure if it's the short dark hair, the fringe, the haircut, the clothes or the overall attitude - but this photo leaves me sad and slightly worried. What in the world happened to the flamboyant, energetic woman we used to know? What happened to her smile, her eyes, her positive and catching optimism? I mean yes, of course I understand she may have been having a bad day, or maybe she was simply tired, but still - something's not right, and my instinct tells me we'll be hearing about it soon enough.

The fact is, we all know the artist hasn't been having the best of times lately, and when I say that I mean the fact that her marriage has been on the rocks for quite a while now. There were many divorce rumors flying round a couple of months ago, and even though we haven't heard anything very concrete in that respect, it doesn't look like Pink has been having too good a time lately. Of course, she has never been the most conventional wife out there, either, and we were all a bit shocked to learn that she and her husband Carey Hart had decided to have an "open marriage", which means that they agreed to see (and sleep with) other people while they were apart - when Pink was on tour, for instance. And yes, I do think that telling your husband it's OK to sleep around is not the wisest decision in the world.
It seems Pink reached the same conclusion herself, after her hubby's affairs began to hit the headlines and all of a sudden it probably didn't feel that good to have such an unconventional marriage after all. I really hope things in her marriage are not so bad as to make her look so sad and peaky. Maybe it's all the black she's wearing, or maybe I'm just not used to seeing her so covered up and looking like a schoolteacher on holiday. Bring the old Pink back! Get a spark of life in her eyes, dress her up in outrageous costumes and I'm sure she'll feel much better - and so will we.
