I think that someone should declare a state of emergency in Hollywood - and fast. There's some sort of epidemic going round, and more and more women are being affected. I'm not sure whether it's in the water, or maybe in the air - but it's happening, and there's plenty of proof that something is not exactly right in La La land. Something, in fact, is quite wrong. I'm talking, of course, about the celebrity pregnancy fashion, which has been taking Hollywood by storm in the past year, with more and more famous ladies out there getting knocked up. The list is... well, pretty extensive, with such highlights as Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Alba... and now Jennifer Love Hewitt has apparently joined the "expecting mothers" department.
Jennifer recently got engaged with her boyfriend, Scottish actor Ross McCall, whom she met in 2006 when he made an appearance on "Ghost Whisperer", the TV show in that Jennifer is starring in. Apparently, it all happened while the couple was on holiday in Hawaii, at the time when those infamous pictures of Jennifer's rather fuller booty were snapped. Don't get me wrong - I think she looks OK, and honestly, I'm relieved I can finally cross her off the "bulimic, anorexic and overall sickly thin" stars out there. The pregnancy news reportedly came a week before Thanksgiving.
"Jennifer was shocked, but at the same time she was ecstatic with the news. It wasn't planned, but now that it's happened Jennifer and Ross are both very happy" said a source. So, congratulations to the future parents. I was actually thinking if in the light of all that has been said about Jennifer's fuller figure, the whipping criticism she received and her furious tirade she gave in response - would it all have been different if people had known that she was pregnant?
"What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles" Hewitt replied at the time. My question for you is, would she have been cut some more slack, given that her alleged extra weight probably has nothing to do with being pregnant? How far does the Hollywood pregnancy mania really go? Guess we'll just have to wait, see and analyze - and we'll be sure to bring you all the hot news!
