Wet and Wild Jessica Simpson Does "Esquire"

This is the second Jessica Simpson article of the day, and by all means, we seem to be dealing with a veritable Simpson sexy invasion today. Not that anyone actually minds that. The fact is, Jess seems to have taken a leaf out of the old "Lohan" book and is currently working hard to promote her "sexy dumb blond" aura by stripping down to some very wet, nipple-revealing bodysuits in the latest number of Esquire magazine. The cover shot - featuring a rather strange image of Simpson shaving - recreates a classic Esquire cover featuring iconic Italian actress Virna Lisi. However, the inside shots are worth a lot of attention, as they depict a wet Jessica doing what she does best: posing silently.

If you were to take an ironic and wild guess just about now, what would you say was the reason for which Jessica's desire to get wet and dirty went into overdrive? One possible answer would be that as we very well know, Jessica doesn't have much of a career going on at the moment, apart from selling clip-in hair extensions over the air alongside Ken Paves on the HSN. Her future projects include ruining... that is, doing yet another movie and publishing a book containing selections from her personal journal and photographs, which is rumored to be called "Look Up to the Sky". Which all sounds extremely fascinating and rather boring, to say the least. Have no fear, though. Rule number one of mad celebrity attention-seeking: when your career is stalling, it's a very good idea to show off your nipples.

This technique should really be called something along the lines of "The Lohan Career Revival Strategy". No offense to the other distinguished ladies out there, but LiLo really stole their thunder and managed to be on just about every major magazine cover in the States without actually having anything to promote. Except for her narcissism, that is. And now, it looks like America's other temporary unemployed ultra-hottie is heading the same way, although admittedly, Jessica has yet to reach Lindsay's level of egocentrism and nude on-camera comfort. Judging by these shots, however, she's definitely on the right track.
