14 DAY TRIAL // Nicolas Cage’s son Weston is in trouble with the law again, the second time in a month. The actor’s son has been arrested for domestic violence after another altercation with his wife of just a few months, and is believed to be still in police custody.
Weston and Nikki Williams were also arrested earlier this month after getting drunk and into a fight in their apartment.
When they got out on bail, they both blamed alcohol consumption for the altercation, saying that, while fresh out of rehab, they had fallen off the wagon.
At the same time, they promised it wouldn’t happen again, saying they were determined to work through their differences and stay married.
As it turns out, they couldn’t.
“Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Weston was arrested at 5AM in Hollywood – and then taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for cuts... and we’re told, cops believe the injuries were self-inflicted,” the e-zine reports.
Last time he was arrested, when he walked out of jail, he showed off his cuts to the paparazzi, saying that Nikki had attacked him with a broken glass and he only touched her because he wanted to prevent her from injuring him and herself.
Nikki was pregnant at the time.
“TMZ spoke with the mother of Weston’s wife Nikki Williams – who tells us, ‘Nikki is safe and away from him’,” the same media outlet notes.
“It’s the second time in a month Weston’s been popped for domestic violence – except last time, Nikki was also arrested... after allegedly going after Weston with a bottle,” TMZ adds.
Bail for Weston was set at $50,000. Since he was beat up in Hollywood by his personal trainer / his father’s assistant, Cage’s mental health has been questioned several times.
He even spent a while in the psych ward for mental evaluation and then completed a rehabilitation program, which Nikki also joined, presumably in a bid to show him that he was not alone in it.
