Religious group says actor’s death was punishment from God

The Westboro Baptist Church is at it again: shortly after the death of “Glee” actor Cory Monteith was confirmed by the Coroners office and his management, the religious group was on Twitter, announcing plans of boycotting the funeral.

This isn’t the first time that WBC makes headlines for protesting at funerals; in fact, as many of you might already know, it’s kind of “their thing.”

The reason they chose Monteith’s funerals is because he supported his openly gay “Glee” co-star Chris Colfer. Monteith was straight both on screen and in real life.

“Westboro praises God for his righteous judgments. Hell won't be gleeful for #CoryMonteith – he taught millions to sin,” the WBC says.

Just as shameful is the fact that, in the same breath, the WBC tweeted to Lea Michele, Cory’s girlfriend, telling her they hoped she would soon follow him in death by committing suicide.
