There are rumors buzzing around in Hollywood that action star Wesley Snipes plans to return to the franchise that brought him a lot of fame, “Blade,” in which he played a mutant vampire hunter with superhuman abilities.

New York Daily News reports that the actor is already in talks to appear in the new film in the franchise that has already put three movies out in cinemas. Snipes himself said at the Comic-Con convention in July that he would love to reprise his role as Blade in a fourth film.

The rights to the series are now considered to have returned to Marvel Studios after they were sold to New Line cinema. For this reason, “Bade Trinity” director David S. Goyer believes that Marvel plans to reboot the franchise.

Snipes could use the role which is said to be worth several millions of dollars, since he was released from prison just this year in April. The actor served two and a half years for tax evasion, so any significant paycheck would be a considerable advantage for him.

To sweeten the deal, the producers are said to have offered “The Expendables” star a cut of the profits as well, which would only lead to an even check for Snipes. So far, Marvel has not made public its intention to reboot the “Blade” franchise.
