The game's new maps are available to buy via
Xbox Live, no doubt about it, but trying to actually play afterwards, well... that's a different matter all together. The game doesn't start due to a fault of the Valor map pack.
Activision's answer, as assuring as it sounds, is a concise and typical developer's answer, when faced with a problem such as this: "We understand
that there are problems with the Valor map pack once it is downloaded - we are working closely with Microsoft on this right now, and we will have the issue resolved as soon as we possibly can. Please hold tight, and I will follow up with an update as soon as we're closer to a solution."
Call of Duty 3 brings intense infantry and vehicle simultaneous multiplayer action to the scene and in addition to Headquarters, Capture the Flag, Battle and Team Battle modes, Treyarch has added War and Single Flag - Capture the Flag.
The game is nevertheless one of Activision's greatest successes and Will Kassoy, senior vice president of global brand management,
Activision, Inc. feels the same way: "Call of Duty 3 brings players closer than ever to the intensity of combat. Gamers will be instantly transported into a seamless narrative, set on a gritty battlefield that features the most highly detailed environments, amazing effects, realistic weapons and soldiers and more for an epic experience."
Such a promising project but the map pack is broke. Is there anything we haven't already heard?
