I know, I know... you're all going to tell me it was all a matter of time before something like this happened. And you'd be right but still, I must say that this piece of news is making me feel very sad. And depressed. Amy Winehouse, y'all, was caught on tape during a massive drug binge that took place at her own house, while she was allegedly throwing a party for friends.

Well, it sure looks like Amy wasn't around when the whole Kate Moss scandal struck a few years back, but the fact is she should have paid attention and checked for camera phones and hidden recoding equipment before allowing her friends into the house. The result of her negligence was that Amy was caught on tape while snorting drugs and believe me, it's not a pretty sight. You can watch the video HERE - but be warned, it contains graphic images of drug use and is therefore extremely NSFW.

And yes, it would seem that all those stories about Amy being healthy, cutting back on drugs and trying to lead a clean life were just that - a bunch of stories. The troubled star is seen on tape snorting cocaine through a crack pipe, and according to her friends' statements, she had also snorted powdered ecstasy earlier in the night. And it's not simply the drug use that I find disturbing - but the whole depressing picture of Amy's lifestyle, her dirty-looking clothes and hair, her "friends" and the army of junkies and hanger-on that surround her like parasites, her drugged-out efforts to speak straight... It's all one big signal that her life is spiraling out of control and that very soon she could very well end up dead.

It also sends a very negative message to all the young people out there who look up to her immense talent and may see her as a role model - a message that says something along the lines of "you can still have a successful career and do drugs at the same time". Which, as you can see, is not the best life philosophy out there. I only hope that something can be done for Amy - either by the singer herself or by her few true friends - to prevent a tragedy from happening.

"Amy is locked in a nosedive towards oblivion - she is killing herself. The video shows a woman completely out of control. Her family and her few real friends have begged her to pull herself from the brink many times. But here is proof she has pressed the self-destruct button. Her fans would scarcely recognize the drug-addled wreck in the video as the talented performer they love" says a friend of the singer's. And the friend is right - if this doesn't stop soon, anything can happen.
