Turkey, Brussels sprouts, baby carrots and many treats prone to cause a sugar overdose

In an attempt to make a special dinner for the holidays, the team behind Cakes for Fun Shop came up with the idea to disguise a sponge cake and many more treats as a turkey with trimmings. The festive plate looks as real as it gets, but it is actually a well-engineered dessert that could fool anyone.

Perfect brown-shaded turkey, roast potatoes, Brussels sprouts, baby carrots, pigs-in-blankets and even the plates, are all made from sponge cake, marzipan, icing and chocolate, making them every kid's dream.

The big juicy turkey is in fact a multi-layer sponge cake made with Madagascan vanilla sponge and constructed like a sandwich with various layers, covered in brown colored fondant icing. To give it the perfect roasted turkey look, artists in charge of the dessert airbrushed the cake with edible color spray and food glaze, notes Daily Mail.

The other delights include roast potatoes made from marzipan and shaped with tinted airbrushed roller fondant, Brussels sprouts made from dark chocolate dipped in white chocolate and covered in green petal paste, baby carrots made from sugar paste and glaze, pigs-in-blankets also made from sugar paste and plates made from pastillage icing.

This is every child's dream, and even the hated Brussels sprouts sound more than delicious, able to make everyone's mouths watery. The cake designer, Carolyn White, joined by her team, spent more than 40 hours to create the incredibly detailed treats.

When she first started her business, Carolyn aimed to put the fun back in baking and tried to come up with innovative designs that can give her the “Wow” reaction she was looking for. “It's one of the more unusual things we've created. We've made all sorts of food – sushi, a cheeseboard, burgers – as well as [promiscuous] cakes you wouldn't want to describe in a family newspaper,” Carolyn says, according to Daily Mail.

The fake dinner is incredibly detailed and could fool anyone, especially with the 14 pounds (6 kg) turkey cake, that weights as much as a real one. After this kind of dinner, a sugar overdose is more than possible.
