
For the first time since they got together in 1992, the wacky Weezer members seem intent to call it quits, at least for the time being. Cuomo told MTV News that, quote, 'the band is all back in Los Angeles, and I sometimes speak with Patrick, and I occasionally e-mail with Brian and Scott, but we've never mentioned getting together'.
Rivers has just graduated from Harvard and is currently in Japan with his wife. From his words, one can understand that the members of the band barely keep in touch with each other.
The singer also said that, during the past year, he had been feeling very creative and started working on various songs.
He then added that he can't see them as Weezer songs but neither is he thinking of going solo. So, instead, he will just wait and see what will happen and, come the right moment, he will decide what to do next.
As a conclusion to a beautiful period of hit after hit, Rivers said: 'Really, for the moment, we're done. And I'm not certain we'll ever make a record again, unless it becomes really obvious to me that we need to do one'.
