The E3 2011 conference has just closed its doors in the lovely Los Angeles, and, just like usual, the gaming media is debating over which company actually "won" E3 by making the biggest announcements and capturing the attention of all attendants.

Last year, it was a pretty cut and dry affair, with Microsoft and Sony playing catch up to the Nintendo Wii with their own motion controllers, while Nintendo amazed people with playable versions of its 3DS handheld, as well as announcing a huge variety of games for it.

This year, however, even if many expected Nintendo to once again steal the show by showcasing its new Wii U home console, that wasn't exactly the case, as after the first day, things pretty much returned to normal.

It seems that, for once after many years, E3 won't be won by any particular company, but by all of them, as pretty much each major publisher showcased a wide array of interesting games that captured the attention of the E3 2011 visitors.

Microsoft kicked things off with new announcements concerning the Xbox 360, as well as huge games like Halo 4 or Kinect implementation for the likes of Mass Effect 3 or Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

Sony finally confirmed the name of its Next Generation Portable device, calling it the PlayStation Vita, while confirming many games for it, as well as releasing details about other new things like the God of War: Origins Collection.

Nintendo wowed attendants with the new Wii U and its unique controller, as well as through the huge amount of games that will be coming to the current Wii, the DS or the 3DS devices.

Electronic Arts presented playable demos of its big titles, including Mass Effect 3, Need for Speed: The Run or Star Wars: The Old Republic, while Ubisoft showcased new details about hardcore games like Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, or casual ones, like Raving Rabbids, Rayman Origins or Just Dance 3.

Japanese companies were also present through Capcom or Square Enix, which showcased plenty of games, including DmC Devil May Cry or Street Fighter X Tekken, as well as Hitman: Absolution or Tomb Raider.

Plenty of other games were also presented to the world, so, in the end, E3 2011 didn't mark a win for any particular company, but for the all gamers around the world, which need to prepare, both spiritually and financially, for the arrival of many huge games at the end of this year as well as during 2012.
