The long awaited game is set to be released next week

It's September 14 and just two days separates regular gamers from the official release of probably one of the most anticipated games of the year – Grand Theft Auto 5.

The road to the launch of GTA V has been long and filled with speculation, rumors, leaks from different sources on the web, as well as official videos, screenshots, and more details straight from developer Rockstar Games.

Now, in the lead up to the actual release of the game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, not a lot has changed, as plenty of leaked and official details were made available in the last week or so.

While Rockstar is trying to release materials about GTA 5 through its official channels, including screenshots and other details, not to mention through parody websites like the LifeInvader social network, plenty of sources on the web are trying to deliver content that hasn't been filtered by the developer itself.

We saw quite a few videos and images from an actual copy of GTA appear online this week and, even if Rockstar acted fast and took down most of those things and banned the Xbox 360 user who leaked them, once a thing is uploaded online, it will keep popping back up no matter how hard someone tries to delete it.

This isn't the first time something leaked about GTA V and, considering there's still two days separating fans from the release of the game, there's still quite a lot of time for other details to surface online and either paint the game in a favorable or unfavorable light.

Even so, it's safe to say that the release of GTA 5 is probably one of the most important things in the gaming industry this year, second only to the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November.
