E3 2012 kicks off next week on June 5 and ends on June 7. In these three days, the gaming industry is expected to reveal its biggest and brightest games to the world in order to get everyone's attention before their release at the end of the year or in 2013.

The last few weeks have already been filled with major announcements, as many companies are already trying to get the attention of fans before the actual expo starts.

As such, we heard about plenty of sequels, from Gears of War: Judgment, to a Need for Speed: Most Wanted reboot or Dead Space 3.

Some new games have also been unveiled, chief among which being Star Wars 1313, while titles we already knew about have received fresh details and videos, including Hitman: Absolution or Tomb Raider.

As with every E3, many rumors have also surfaced that hint at the possible surprises that are going to be revealed at the expo in Los Angeles. One of Ubisoft’s biggest possible announcements, Splinter Cell: Blacklist leads the pack, as the French company is rumored to present a new game starring Sam Fisher.

Besides the things mentioned above, E3 2012 will still mark the announcement of plenty of new games from all sorts of companies, ranging from behemoths like Activision or EA, to lower-tier publishers like Ubisoft, Square Enix, 2K and others.

A gamer can’t forget the three large console manufacturers, as Nintendo is finally going to reveal more details about its upcoming Wii U, while Sony and Microsoft are expect to do everything they can in order to steal the spotlight.

Sadly, while we’ll hear plenty of things next week, it seems that Rockstar Games won’t reveal anything, as the company, together with its upcoming Grand Theft Auto V, will skip the convention, judging by recent reports.
