14 DAY TRIAL // Several websites owned by Las Vegas Sands Corp, one of the world’s largest casino operators, have been hacked and defaced.
The hackers, members of a group called the Anti WMD Team, have defaced the sites with a picture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corp Sheldon Adelson.
Next to the picture, a message read, “Damn A [Adelson], Don’t let your tongue cut your throat. Encouraging the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction, under any conditions, is a Crime.”
As CardPlayer highlights, the message likely refers to a speech in which Adelson said that the US should drop a nuclear bomb on Iran.
According to E Hacking News, the list of casinos whose websites have been targeted by the hackers include the Venetian, Palazzo, Marina Bay Sands, Sands Macao, Venetian Macao, Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central and Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.
At the time of writing, all the impacted websites are offline.
