Hackers of LulzSec Peru have breached and defaced the official website of Peru’s Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (mimp.gob.pe).

The hackers have replaced the site’s index page with the LulzSec logo and a message that read “Hacked by LulzSecPeru.”

The hack was announced by LulzSec Peru on Twitter around 8 hours ago. However, at the time of writing, the website has been restored.

So far, representatives of the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations have not made any statements regarding the incident.

LulzSec Peru hasn’t been very active over the past weeks. However, in July, the group defaced several Peruvian government websites, including the main government portal, Peru CERT, and the National Office for Electronic Government and Information Technology.

They’re also known for hacking the websites and social media accounts of governments and government officials from all over South America.
