Pakistani hacker MrCreepy has breached and defaced the official website of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL), an Indian state-owned telecommunications company.

“Happy Independence Day Pakistan,” the hacker wrote on the defaced page.

On his Facebook page, the attacker claimed that he rooted MTNL’s server.

Currently, the website is back online, but the company says some customers might still see a cached version of the hacked page, Times of India reports. MTNL’s corporate website and the portal for Delhi customers haven’t been impacted.

MrCreepy has targeted several Indian websites over the past few days to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. One of the targets is the Pune Traffic Police.

A lot of high-profile websites from India have been breached by Pakistani hackers these days. On the other hand, Indian hackers also continue targeting sites from Pakistan.
