The official website of Onida (www.onida.com), the electronics brand of India-based Mirc Electronics, has been breached and defaced by a hacker that uses the online moniker “Pimpdaddy.”

The hacker doesn’t specifically say why he has targeted Onida, but judging by the message he posted on the defaced website, he simply wants to prove that the site is vulnerable.

“Defaced By Pimpdaddy. Please Update your security,” the hacker wrote on the defaced site.

This hacker nickname has been used in 2010 and it shows up as posting on a hacker forum in 2011 and 2012, but it’s uncertain if it’s the same individual.

A search for the hacker’s email address shows that, recently, he also targeted the website of a trading company from Thailand.

At the time of writing, Onida’s homepage still showed the defacement page.
