The official website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Honduras (sic.gob.hn) has been hacked by Anonymous hacktivists.

The attack on the Honduras government website comes just before the general election scheduled for November 24.

“We only hope that society wakes up at the elections in November. 99.9% of the people standing guard is the one way we can prevent another political farce. And only by working together, without distinction of political colors, this society can get out of the hole it’s in,” the hackers wrote on the defacement page in Spanish.

At the time of writing, the site of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is still defaced.

In early October, the same hackers defaced the official website of the United Nations in Honduras (un.hn) with a similar message.
