The website of Anjem Choudary (anjemchoudary.co.uk), the former head of the radical group called al-Muhajiroun, has been hacked and defaced.

The attack on the site of Choudary, whom many call a “hate preacher,” took place around 24 hours ago.

On the defaced page, the hacker posted the word “Atheist” surrounded by several messages.

Users have pointed out on Twitter that the targeted domain was registered only recently, on May 16, 2013. Some claim that this is Choudary’s new domain, while others say it’s not his website.

Choudary has not made any statements regarding the incident. On his Twitter profile, his official website is listed as anjem-choudary.com, but that domain is inaccessible as well.

Currently, anjemchoudary.co.uk displays a “404 Not Found” error message.
