Hacktivists of Team Hacking Argentino have breached and defaced the official website of Sergio Massa (sergiomassa.org), the leader of the opposition in Argentina. The attack came just before the start of the legislative elections that took part in the country on October 27.

“Greetings Mr. Sergio Massa, we hope that all the things you’ve promised become true!” the hackers wrote in Spanish on the defaced website.

The hackers say they’re not against or in favor of the candidate. However, they say they’re expecting what they’ve been promised.

At the time of writing, the website of Sergio Massa has been restored.

A few hours ago, the Buenos Aires Herald reported that the opposition leader appeared to be winning in the Buenos Aires province.

Team Hacking Argentino has breached and defaced numerous government websites from Latin America over the past weeks, including the government portals of the Brazilian states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais.
