Algerian hacker Over-X has breached and defaced the official website of Algeria’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (mhuv.gov.dz). The attack took place over the weekend, but at the time of writing, the website is still defaced.

On the defacement page, added to mhuv.gov.dz/index.htm, the hacker published a message of protest against the government.

The hacker is displeased with the lack of housing and jobs. He has also accused officials of taking bribes.

A few days ago, Over-X defaced a total of 15 websites of Red Bull, the energy drink company. Red Bull has removed the hacker’s pages. However, on Monday, the hacktivist defaced the Red Bull Mobile domains for Switzerland (redbullmobile.ch) and Hungary (redbullmobile.hu).

This indicates that Red Bull might have failed to patch the vulnerabilities exploited by Over-X last week.
