Webconverger, an evolution of the hybrid client for deployment in places like offices or Internet cafes, where only web applications are used, is now at version 18.0.
Highlights of Webconverger 18.0:
• The proprietary Google talk plugin has been provisioned, which will make the distro more applicable in Internet cafes. With a Google account users can make voice and video calls; • New fonts have been implemented and users shouldn't see a missing Unicode glyph for various languages, thanks to the newly integrated Droid font coverage; • Arabic & Russian i18n support has been added, via the default [Alt+shift] key bind, through the boot Languages menu; • Mozilla Firefox was updated to version 19.0; • Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.8.2.
