At least he is going to continue working for the company, unlike the others

Ever since HP gave up on the webOS division and said it wasn't going to do much with the software besides make it open source, employees of all ranks have been leaving.

Most recently, the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of the webOS program left his post.

Unlike his peers who left the corporation, though, he will take up a different position in HP.

Meanwhile, Bill Veghte, recently named chief strategy officer and responsible for the webOS transition to open source, will retain his position.

“Sam Greenblatt is moving from webOS to a new role at HP and will continue to assist the team during the transition. The Open webOS project is on schedule and HP remains committed to the roadmap announced in January,” the company said.

Long story short, webOS is still on a rocking boat, and not the good kind.
