The WebKitGTK+ developers announced a few days ago that the first Beta release towards WebKitGTK+ 2.2, a WebKit-based open source web engine that uses GTK+ as its user-facing front-end, is available for download and testing.
Among the bugs fixed in this release, we can mention an issue with the volume slider track which was displayed when muted, a crash in WebKit1 when the inspector window was closed, and the authentication dialog will now close when the load fails. Also, the Brazilian Portuguese translation has been updated.
A couple of days after this release, Gustavo Noronha Silva announced another minor version, which adds support for maintainer mode and DOM bindings symbols. Read the official release announcements, here
