Turks attack Swedish sites

These guys had it coming! You can't just have a caricature with Prophet Muhammad's head on a dog's body posted in a newspaper and expect the Muslims to stand around doing nothing. Though illegal, considering previous happenings, what I'm going to relate will seem natural to you.

Hackers in Turkey have attacked more than 5.000 Swedish websites in the past week, replacing images with messages, as the Sydney Morning Herald informs. Now, let's just take a look at things - was there ever a situation in which the Muslims accepted their religion to be slandered and didn't do anything about it? I don't think so! Sure, I agree that everyone is entitled to have an opinion and democracy allows us to make a mockery out of just about everything, but what they did was wrong, not only for religious reasons, but also because it brought the wrath of hackers upon them!

Sites have been hacked, but I think that's not the worst thing. The worst part of all of this is the fact that Lars Vilks, the man who had initially drawn the caricature now has a bounty on his head - $100,000 to be more exact. Now, that's a lot of money, and what makes it even worse for the artist is his attitude. As the SMH further informs, instead of apologizing, he said that he feels no remorse for what he has done and that Muslims should get used to the fact that in the West, everything gets mocked.

I can't tell you for sure what's going to happen, but I guess things aren't going to get any better, with the Muslims being insulted and this guy not apologizing. I've always said that hacking sites is a bad thing, but in this case, I hope that they will continue to wreak havoc on the web, and not shed any blood in real life!
