Way of the Samurai 2 Codes and Secrets (PS2)

Way of the Samurai 2 is set during feudal era Japan at the end of the Edo period, in the conflict laden town of Amahara. A once peaceful town, Amahara has become the center of a tense conflict between two powerful forces at the expense of its innocent townspeople. The Amahara magistrate office, which once upheld peace and justice, has succumbed to the suppression ideology of the rising feudal government and has become an extreme tyrannical force that rules the innocent townsfolk.

They are at odds with a rogue group of warriors known as the Aoto gang. Like the magistrate office, this group had long represented values of loyalty and chivalry, but the death of their former leader left them vulnerable. Several would -be successors began claiming rights to leadership and the gang soon transformed into an uncontrollable group of arrogant and violent vigilantes that terrorize the defenseless citizens of Amahara.

Change Character code (US version)
When creating a new character highlight the "Name" option and enter the following code VERY quickly.

L1,R2,R1,L2,L1,R2,R1,L2,Square,Right - allows you to select various new characters as the main character

In-Game Codes (JP Version)
Enter the following at the pause menu:

Holding L1+L2, press Left, Left, Up, Down, Down, Up, Square - Gain 500 mon (the smallest form of money in Edo Japan)

L1, R1, L1, R1, L2, R2, Triangle - Most items available (JP version)

Holding L1+R1, press Down, Up, Right, Left, Down, Up, Square - Regain all health

Holding L2+R2, press Right, Left, Right, Left, Down, Down, Square - Regain all stamina

Unlockables

Unlock Attires
Unlocks more attires for the characters to wear.

Unlock Attires - Finish the game on any difficulty repeatedly and you'll notice that more attires have been unlocked.

Unlock Difficulty Modes
Accumulate a specific amount of points (in total) to unlock the following difficulty modes. The points are added to your total every time the game is cleared.

Hard Mode - Accumulate 1000 points

Sudden Death Mode - Accumulate 7500 points

Secrets

Fast Points/Score
When you are starting the game again or the first time select the difficulty setting "hard" when the game starts, tell the girl it�s the best rice you've ever tasted. Then say what your name is or the other option. When the girl is knocked down to the ground just say it�s none of your business and when you go to the map screen just go to Outside Amahara, the area hidden under the otemon gate. Congratulations, you just got 225 easy points, the rank of novice and a ranking of 30-33.3 points. Repeat to a mass of thousands of points and unlock all of the heads, clothing and accessories.
