If you’re on Windows and looking for a 64-bit browser, there’s no doubt that Waterfox is at least worth a try, and my colleague Elena Opris explained why in an in-depth review published last month.

Now Waterfox released a new update and finally reached version 31, bringing a number of new features and improvements supposed to correct any bugs and issues reported in the previous builds.

As far as the new features are concerned, Waterfox 31 comes with support for Unicode 7.0, while also introducing experimental support for WebCL. The search box is now available in all new tab pages and the app is finally capable of blocking malware from downloaded files for extra protection offered to users.

Several developer improvements are also part of this release, including Code Editor enhancements and an eyedropper tool added to the color picker for a smoother editing process.

As you could easily guess, Waterfox 31 continues to offer support for pretty much all Windows versions with a 64-bit build, including XP, Vista, 7, and 8.

Overall, this new version is clearly a must-try for all Windows users looking to make the most of their 64-bit processor when browsing the web, so go ahead and download Waterfox 31 to see what’s new.
