If you’re in the market looking for a smart TV, you might want to wait a little bit longer because Brazil-based company Apek recently revealed the so-called MaxPad, the world’s first touch TV with Windows.

As you can see in this video, MaxPad runs Windows 8.1, so it comes with a touch panel with multi-point support and support for a wide array of apps available on Microsoft’s operating system, including Xbox Music and Video, Skype, the Windows Store, and Weather.

As my colleague Sebastian Pop told you earlier today, this TV boasts a 3.8 GHz A-Series A10 accelerated processing unit, Radeon HD7660 graphics, a hybrid of SSD and HDD offering 560 GB of storage space and a full-HD camera. The TV will be available in multiple sizes, starting with 39 inches and ending with 64.5 inches.

Seeing a Windows TV hitting the market is not at all surprising, as Microsoft has specifically tweaked its modern Windows to match a variety of products, starting with very small ones, such as tablets, smartphones and wearables, and ending with large TVs and projectors.

Of course, Microsoft is most likely excited with this new product and even though pricing hasn’t been announced yet, expect the TV to sell like hot cakes later this year when it’ll hit the market.
