Javvad Malik makes his own predictions for the year to come

Most IT security companies are rushing to make predictions for 2014. As many of you can probably agree, most of the predictions that are made at this time of year are very similar to what we’ve seen in the past.

Information security expert Javvad Malik makes his own predictions for 2014, and as he puts it, they’re “mind-blowingly awesome.”

For instance, he predicts that next year, a company will be hacked and 5 million password hashes will be posted online. Studies will once again determine that the most common password is “123456.”

Malik also makes some interesting predictions regarding advanced persistent threats, cloud security, government spying and the rise of the white hats.
