Many reveals were made during the San Diego Comic-Con last week, including some juicy details regarding the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection and its companion, Halo: Nightfall, an upcoming live-action series directed by famed filmmaker Ridley Scott.

Halo: Nightfall delves into the origin story of Agent Locke, a new Spartan who will play a major role in developer 343 Industries' upcoming Xbox One exclusive first-person shooter Halo 5: Guardians.

Geoff Keighley hosted an hour-long panel about the upcoming digital series during the Comic-Con, and the panel offers a lot of information regarding what fans should expect from Halo: Nightfall.

In addition to this, the panel also advised gamers that more information about how Nightfall would fit into Halo 5: Guardians would be revealed at this year's Gamescom, taking place in August in Germany.

The Halo: Nightfall panel featured Executive Producer Kiki Wolfkill, Franchise Development Director Frank O'Connor, Scott Free Productions President David Zucker, and two of the show's actors, Mike Colter and Christina Chong.

In the series, the legendary manhunter Jameson Locke and his team are caught in a terrorist attack while investigating some suspicious activity on the outskirts of the universe, and the plot thickens when a mysterious ancient artifact is discovered, and the team's loyalties are put to the test, as they have to fight for their lives.
