Microsoft officially rolled out the first Surface with Windows 8 Pro ad during the tablet’s launch event in Las Vegas, even though the company promised to air it at the Grammy Awards show.

The ad is created by Jon Chu, the director behind the first Surface RT commercial and the one responsible for several American movies, such as Step Up 2: The Streets and Step Up 3D.

Just as expected, the clip tries to bring the Surface Pro’s main features in the spotlight, including the pen and the USB 3.0 port that allows users to connect a wide array of peripherals.

As you probably know by now, the Surface Pro went on sale in both the United States and Canada on Saturday, with the tablet being available in two different versions offering either 64 GB or 128 GB of storage space.
