14 DAY TRIAL // Later today, July 17, 2014, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian will be making their reality television debut, as VH1 will premiere the first episode of their much mediated show LeAnn & Eddie. The good news is that the episode is already available in full online and you can see it below.
The bad news is that you’ve probably seen most of it already thanks to the videos VH1 released to promote it.
The episode opens with an introduction from the two, with each describing the other in a humorous manner. We also see LeAnn and Eddie driving to the premiere of his movie, bad-mouthing his ex-wife Brandy Glanville, and having a laugh at the expense of the tabloids.
This is the major twist in the episode: a tabloid story that claims they’re heading for a $50 million divorce (€36.9 million) that’s gotten LeAnn very upset. She’d like Eddie to say something officially, to issue a denial, but he feels like, if he did, he would only encourage even more gossip about their private life.
Towards the end of the episode, we see LeAnn celebrating the fact that she’s out of the contract with her record label by getting a feather tattooed on her ribcage and, even later, skydiving with Eddie at a charity event.
She also gets her way, with Eddie finally addressing the divorce story in an interview with Mario Lopez. Check it out.
It could be just me, but this feels incredibly scripted / fake.
