Damon Lindelof is back and he’s looking to keep audiences on their toes once more

Damon Lindelof, the man who managed to keep millions of fans tuned to their television sets for “Lost,” right up until the very end, is back! His brand new show, this time for HBO, “The Leftovers” premiered this Sunday.

If you have a little over an hour to spare, you can now see the full episode as well – and you don’t even have to get HBO! Yahoo! has made it available in full, and I’m including it at the bottom of this post.

Based on a book series by Tom Perrotta, who also acts as co-producer, “The Leftovers” picks up 3 years after a worldwide Rapture-like event that sees 2% of the globe’s population disappear without a trace.

It all happens in a blink of an eye and there’s no reason or explanation for it, which makes things even more complicated for those left behind. The opening scene of the episode is chilling to the bone by managing to capture just how sudden and unexplainable the whole thing was.

This being an HBO show, *please note that discretion is recommended before viewing it because it contains language and images that might offend.

Minutes within the episode, a dog is shot dead in very graphic detail. Just a fair warning, you know.

“The Leftovers” stars Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler, Margaret Qualley, Amy Brenneman, Emily Meade, Christopher Eccleston, Ann Dowd and Michael Gaston. I’m guessing no other episodes will be released online, so enjoy this one.
