Watch this guy use it to blow up balloons from afar

I probably shouldn't think too much about how many people got their hands or wrists burnt or otherwise harmed during the development of the device in the video below. But I can't help it. Seeing something capable of blowing things up kind of prompts that strain of thought automatically.

The device is a watch not unlike the laser cutter that James Bond and all fictional spies inspired by him often use. I won't even try to speculate how many cartoon characters used something like it.

Patrick Priebe is the brainiac behind the existence of the aptly named LaserWatch.

The watch integrates a blue laser with a power of 1,500 milliwatts, which is enough to heat skin enough to cause minor burns. It is also sufficient for causing balloons to explode, not to mention that the laser beam looks awesome.

The best part is that the device will be up for sale eventually, although I do suggest you don't leave it near kids. It's a lot more dangerous than it is practical. Could be a good tool to thaw frozen or frosted over windshield wipers though, with winter so very close or already in progress around the world.

Do remember, though, that the battery won't live for more than five to ten minutes of constant use.

The item is made on request and costs over $300 / €300.
