If you happen to own a Pocket PC running Windows Mobile and decided to go for an Android smartphone instead, you will now be able to take advantage of a nice application that wasn't available for the latter. You might think this is just another example of a Windows Mobile application that has been ported on the Android, but the fact remains that you will now be able to install Spb TV on any Android smartphone.

Developed by Spb Software, the application is one of the few good IP-TV solutions optimized to run on mobile products. Users will be able to watch a wide range of TV channels directly on their Android devices, but will be limited to only a few numbers if only using the trial version of the software.

Spv TV for Android can be installed directly on your device by accessing the Market feature from the Main menu or Homescreen. The smarpthone will automatically install the application after the download is finished, so you won't need to worry about that. Also, there's no need of extra settings before taking advantage of the software's features. Just click on the shortcut that will appear in the Main Menu to start experiencing the full features of Spb TV.

Besides the ability of offering its users a wide selection of public TV channels from more than 17 countries, Spb TV for Android includes more useful features such as: Quick channel preview, Integrated TV guide, Quick channel selection, and Picture-in-picture mode.

With the help of the integrated TV guide, you will be able to set reminders, so you don't miss their favorite shows. You will be able to see the battery status, as well as battery time and current time by simply tapping the screen. Other settings of Spb TV that users can take advantage of include: Volume and backlight controls, Onscreen and hardware buttons controls, and Network bandwidth fluctuations support. To be able to watch all the channel list that Spb TV offers, you will need to pay 9.95 USD.
