As we told you not long ago, a new version of Windows 8.1, labeled build 9374, got leaked to the Internet, providing us with a few more details regarding the upgrade that’s going to bring so many changes to Microsoft’s current flagship operating system.

The leaked build finally confirmed that Microsoft is planning to provide users with more Start Screen customization power, mostly thanks to new options aimed at the live tiles’ appearance.

In addition, the company is working on a so-called Kiosk mode that would lock down the computer to a single application and thus allow stores or businesses to run just a single software solution for showcasing purposes.

While there’s still no sign of a Start button, rumor has it that Microsoft is working on one as we speak, so Windows 8.1 users could get the traditional feature back as soon as this summer.
