Watch: Will Smith Raps for Gabrielle Union at Birthday Party

He may have been absent from the music scene for many years, but it’s by choice and not because he couldn’t cut it anymore. Above is proof that Will Smith is still the Fresh Prince.

At Gabrielle Union’s 40th birthday party, Smith surprised her – and the entire Internet – with the best present ever: a live number, with some assistance from Doug E. Fresh.

Smith opened with a freestyle number, then did “Summertime” and the fan-favorite “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” theme song.

Honestly, it was like 1991 all over again, and I mean that in the best way possible.

As you might remember, this isn’t the first time that Smith shows off his rapping skills this year: he did the same in May, during an interview in the UK, when he rapped the theme song to the show that put him on the map.
