Poaching affects not just biodiversity, but also human communities

The video above is the first in a five-episode series dubbed Stop Wildlife Crime that has recently been released by the World Wildlife Fund.

Episodes two to four focus on tiger, rhino and elephant poaching, respectively.

The video above, on the other hand, is intended to raise awareness of the fact that poaching threatens now just biodiversity, but also world economy and security.

This is because money obtained from trafficking animal body parts are often used to fund insurgencies and terrorism, the organization explains.

Luckily, there are some people who have taken it upon themselves to put an end to poaching and safeguard endangered animals that many wish to kill for their furs, horns or tusks.

Check out the video below to learn all about the rangers who are willing to risk their own lives to protect animals. Viewer discretion is recommended when watching the videos as some might be upset by the graphic images they contain.
